The reception team are often the first people visitors speak to when they arrive, they play an important role in making visitors feel welcome. In this role you’ll provide a warm, friendly greeting and support the smooth running of our reception area.
*THIS VOLUNTEER ROLE IS FOR OUT OF HOURS (evenings) & WEEKEND RECEPTION DUTIES ONLY*

How often we’d like your support:

We hope you’ll volunteer 3 - 6 hours a week, but all our roles are flexible to suit you.

You might not have experience of everything on this list. That’s fine; finding the right person is more important to us than ticking all the boxes. We hope you’ll:

Have a warm, friendly, and calm approach

Have great communication skills

Be well organised

Understand how important confidentiality is 

Have good customer service skills and a positive attitude

Have basic admin skills

As well as the tasks already mentioned, all Sue Ryder volunteers have the following responsibilities:

Completing the relevant checks and training needed for the role.
