Meet & Greet Volunteer

The reception team are often the first people visitors speak to when they arrive, so they play an important role in making visitors feel welcome and reassured. In this role you’ll work with the reception team to provide a warm, friendly greeting to all our guests.

Activities will usually include:

• Meeting and greeting patients, families, visitors and staff
• Keeping the reception area tidy, clean and free from clutter
• Offering to escort patients, families and visitors to the right room
• Walking patients to the waiting room and making them a tea/coffee
• Providing information on local amenities like public transport and shops
• Answering general questions about the hospice.
• Reporting incidents to the main reception desk
