Volunteer Complementary Therapist (QUALIFIED)
Role Purpose
To Provide safe, compassionate complementary therapy treatments that promote relaxation, reduce stress and symptoms, and improved the physical and emotional wellbeing of patients and carers.
Key Responsibilities
? Provide complementary therapy treatments such as massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, reiki and other therapies within your qualifications and the organisational policies.
? Adapt treatments to meet the individual needs and health conditions of the patients.
? Promote comfort, symptom management, relaxation and emotional wellbeing for patients and carers.
? Maintain accurate digital treatment records.
? Observe professional boundaries and maintain confidentiality at all times.
? Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding and concerns about patients' wellbeing.
? Follow infection prevention, safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
? Attend mandatory training.
? Maintain professional registration, insurance, and CPD.

? Qualified in a recognized complementary therapy.
? Compassionate, empathetic and patient centred approach.
? Excellent listening and communication skills.
? Respect for dignity, diversity and cultural differences.
? Reliable, professional and able to maintain confidentiality.
? Ability to work independently while recognising when to seek support.
